Features: Red brass bell with a phosphor-bronze flare; compressed nickel No. 4 leadpipe in the Bach 43/44 pattern; nickel or bronze SR tuning slide; one custom-fitted 1/8" vertical brace. Spencer's published price is GBP 1,750. Will Spencer builds and voices each instrument himself at his Bordon workshop, testing and optimising it through construction and inviting the customer in to fine-tune tuning, tone, response and comfort before completion. Spencer uses only red brass for leadpipes and slides to avoid the dezincification (red-rot) he has spent years repairing on other makers' horns.
